PREMIERE PERFORMANCE OF "DECEMBER"

Leslie Hisman, Evelyn Esquivel, Beth Presler and Laura Hoesly will be premiering "December," a work that Jackson wrote for flute, clarinet, violin and cello. This work will be played at one of the many UMKC Composer's Guild Concerts hosted by the UMKC Conservatory. It is also the first of his music to be performed in Kansas City since beginning his master's degree at UMKC.

PREMIERE PERFORMANCE OF "BABY BIRD"

With many thanks to artistic director Danielle Baas, Jackson will have a new work of his, "baby bird" for mezzo-soprano and oboe, premiered in Brussels, Belgium later this November! This work takes text from a recent publication of his mother's poems, "Grace," which he was particularly inspired by. Clotilde van Dieren will be singing and Poletto Stefano will be playing oboe at the premiere.
