MASTER'S RECITAL

Jackson Gearing will be closing off his first year at UMKC Conservatory with a bang! Featuring colleagues Leslie Hisman, Evan Minsk, UMKC's Volker Brass Quintet, and performers from the UMKC Free Improvisation Ensemble, Jackson will be hosting an intimate night of music at the exquisite Diastole Scholar's Center! At this concert, Jackson will be performing a solo tubist, sensitive chamber musician, sophisticated composer, and even as a leading conductor! All of this and a five-star reception to proceed the concert will make for a terrific celebratory evening for those interested in attending!
PREMIERE WORK
AT NEW MUSIC ON THE POINT
Jackson will participate in New Music on the Point this summer! In addition to composing a new work to be performed during the festival (a chamber work for soprano, flute, clarinet, and piano), he will also be play tuba at various points throughout the retreat. Concert date(s) and time TBD.

PREMIERE WORK
BY THE MIVOS QUARTET
Jackson was invited to write a new work for the Mivos String Quartet at the Valencia International Performing Arts Festival this summer! He is currently working on completing his work for string quartet, and will work closely with the members of the Mivos Quartet prior to the premiere. Concert date and time TBD.
